Jason Emery

President of Boulder Land Consultants, Inc., Colorado Professional Land Surveyor No. 20134, Deputy Boulder County Surveyor, and Project Principal & Project Manager

Jason directly oversees all surveying projects. This involvement includes review of calculations, field data analysis, coordination and review/checking of map and document preparation. Jason is readily available to clients for consultation or review of on-going project progress.

Founding Boulder Land Consultants, Inc. in 1987, Jason has over 35 years of land surveying experience. His expertise includes boundary analysis, topographic mapping, subdivision platting and CAD related services. Jason completed his third and final four-year term as Boulder County Surveyor in January 2015. He currently remains on-duty as Deputy County Surveyor. He is also past-president of the Colorado Association of County Surveyors.


Kayce Keane, PLS

Project Manager & Director of Surveys

Kayce started her career in land surveying after college in 2003. With her MS in GIS, BS in Applied Mathematics, supplemental education in Land Surveying, along with years of experience, she brings value to each project of which she is part. Kayce serves as resident expert in CAD/drafting operations and GPS surveying, and oversees boundary, topographic and construction surveying services for the company. She also holds PLS licenses in North Carolina and Wyoming. She has served as Vice President and Education Chairman of the PLSC, Colorado’s association of Professional Land Surveyors. Kayce’s attention to detail, and her pursuit of surveying and mapping technologies, make her an invaluable member of our staff. In her spare time, Kayce enjoys skiing, hiking, camping and spending time with her family.


Colin Wynne

Survey Technician

Colin is the newest member of the BLC team. With a background in forestry and trail development, he brings a love of nature and the outdoors to the company. Colin is our man on the ground working on boundaries, topographic mapping.at is required. His surveying skills include employing survey grade GPS, conventional surveying gear, digital and differential levels, and robotic instruments. In his free time he is an avid angler, backpacker, and musician.


Kara Epple

Survey Technician 

Kara’s holds a degree in geophysics and she has extensive experience with GPS, robotic & conventional surveying technologies. Her expertise in IT tasks and FEMA issues serve BLC well. Kara performs her work in both field and office. Her recreational interests include rock climbing and skiing.
